Taking a day off…for Mother’s Day!
This is a story about a mother who took a day off on Mother’s Day...
This is a story about a mother who took a day off on Mother’s Day and went out with her husband and her daughter to enjoy some quality time in a wonderful place!
Yup, you guessed it, I’m that mom (all my stories really are about myself, as I promised from the beginning!), and today is my day off! Sorry it coincides with the day I’m usually sending my Past Tense childhood story, but I guess it’s ok for anyone to take a break from time to time, isn’t it? I really hope you don’t mind, and I really want to thank you for bearing with me for 2 months already!!
I would like to take this opportunity and say a big THANK YOU for signing up for my Past Tense newsletter, and I hope that my childhood stories brought some extra joy to your souls along the way. Also, I hope that Parenting Insights (the more practical part of my newsletter) provides you with useful information that did, or will, help you in the future to better manage your relationships with your young ones. Which is also my case, actually: many times I feel so overwhelmed that I’m really happy when I find some “tool” or advice that would help me better manage my relationship with Eva, my 4year-old daughter.
Aren’t we all Super Moms?
I know from experience that our little ones can be difficult sometimes and, after a day full of our jobs, cooking, shopping and other stuff to do around the house, we still have to gather resources and become the “oasis of peace” and “playground” they need so much. And we actually do that, on a daily basis!
This is what I’m actually aiming at, with this newsletter - to provide you with info and examples that in the end will make your life easier or, at least, funnier.
So, let’s be more interactive! I want to learn from you what are your interests, what you would find useful to know more about, and, overall, what you’d want to receive in your inbox each week! Tell me what makes you happy and what makes you sad! Don’t forget I’m waiting for your stories also! Remember what I keep saying: telling your own childhood stories is fun for your kids, fun for you, and can even be healing for the soul in so many ways (it really works for me!)!
I really want us to “nicely grow” together, Sunday’s being our “childhood stories day”!
So, happy Mother’s Day and many many hugs,
Ioana
